Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-21

These terms (“Terms”) govern your use of SalesIQ Cloud, the hosted SaaS operated by SalesIQ at app.salesiq.ch. If you self-host SalesIQ Community Edition under the AGPL v3 license, your usage is governed by that license, not these Terms.

1. Account

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use SalesIQ Cloud to:

  • Send unsolicited commercial email in violation of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, LPD or similar.
  • Harvest contact data from sources that prohibit it (e.g., scraping in violation of ToS).
  • Send spam, malware, phishing, harassment, or illegal content.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or security controls.
  • Reverse engineer the service or attempt to extract source code beyond what AGPL allows.
  • Resell, white-label, or sublicense SalesIQ Cloud without a written agreement.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund. You remain responsible for compliance with anti-spam and data protection laws in your jurisdiction.

3. Trial & subscription

  • New accounts include a 14-day free trial with usage caps (AI message generation, deep search, enrichment). Caps are visible in Settings → Billing.
  • At trial end, you must choose a paid plan to continue. Unpaid accounts are locked (read-only) for 30 days then deleted.
  • Paid subscriptions renew monthly. Pricing is shown at checkout and may change with 30 days notice.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds.

4. Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly quota of AI-generated messages, deep search queries, and enrichment lookups. Exceeding the quota blocks further calls until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. We may rate-limit abusive usage patterns at our discretion.

5. Your data

You retain all rights to data you upload to SalesIQ Cloud. We process it solely to operate the service. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

6. AI-generated content

SalesIQ uses Anthropic Claude to generate cadence messages and discovery suggestions. AI output may contain errors, hallucinations, or misrepresentations. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before sending it to third parties. We disclaim warranties on AI accuracy.

7. Your LinkedIn account

SalesIQ Cloud connects to your personal LinkedIn account via Unipile to search for contacts, enrich company profiles, and (optionally) send invites and messages on your behalf. LinkedIn applies its own daily limits on invitations, messages, profile views, and searches. These limits are set by LinkedIn, evolve over time, and are not controlled by SalesIQ.

To reduce the risk that LinkedIn flags or restricts your account, we recommend you do not exceed:

  • 50 connection invitations per day
  • 100 outbound messages per day
  • 30 Sales Navigator-style searches per hour
  • A reasonable, human-like cadence (the built-in cadence scheduler does this for you)

SalesIQ displays a live counter of your daily LinkedIn actions (searches, profile views, company views, imports) in the left sidebar and warns you at 80% of the recommended ceiling (150 for LinkedIn Classic, 300 for Sales Navigator). Cadence sends have their own anti-ban pipeline (randomized daily caps + 30–90s spacing + escalating cooldown on restriction).

You are solely responsible for how you use your LinkedIn account through SalesIQ. SalesIQ cannot be held liable for any restriction, suspension, or termination of your LinkedIn account, nor for any data loss or business impact resulting from such an event. If LinkedIn restricts your account, you remain liable for your active SalesIQ subscription.

8. Open source license

The SalesIQ source code is published under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 or later. You may self-host, modify, and redistribute the code under those terms. The AGPL does not grant trademark rights — “SalesIQ” remains our trademark.

9. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced via email or in-app banner with at least 24 hours notice. Unscheduled outages will be communicated as soon as practical.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SalesIQ's aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Billing. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or risk to the service. We will refund any unused prepaid amount unless termination is for material breach.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, except where mandatory consumer protection law applies otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after we notify you by email or in-app banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
